Today is my parent's anniversary. They have been married for 21 years. Funny really, they had known each other for six weeks before they got married. Everyone told them it wouldn't workout. Looks like it did so far. It has been a difficult adventure for both of them. Sometimes I don't know how they put up with each other. They share little to nothing in common, but they do love each other.

My mama's love is more obvious, she is the hugs and kisses person, while my daddy is more of an action type lover. He shows you his love through deeds. For example, when I got sick when I was little I always wanted my mommy. She would hold me and comfort me. Daddy would spend hours in the kitchen making me something I loved, just to try to make me feel better. They are complete opposites, but I love them.

I believe that their fast relationship and how well it has worked so far is why I believe relationships with so many impossibilities can work. Sounds silly, I know. I mean, we read stories about vampires/werewolves falling in love with humans or cinder girl marrying a prince, but we don't believe in defying the odds. It seems silly to find these stories interesting and then not be willing to chance the odds. I've seen so many people back out of things just because the odds weren't what they wanted them to be. It takes courage, I suppose. In relationships things are always going to be difficult, no matter what the odds are. I just hate to see people step down before they even try. I hate to see people limit themselves. I'm bad for it myself, but it is still... bothersome. Take chances.

Why am I writing about this? I honestly don't know. I'm just thinking about how people don't give things a fair try. I'm just prattling on I suppose about nothingness. *sigh* I'm bored, frustrated, and completely confused about life in general. This was just something interesting I happened to think of. I don't know. Well, I thought it was interesting. lol.
